Resident Camp

We will be reopening and running camp for the 2017 season!

We strongly believe in the camping program and are overjoyed to be able to offer this program this year.  The YMCA has a wonderful history of camping we want to share with you and your families.  When you come to Big Elk Creek Resident Camp you get an experience unlike any you’ve ever had.  Y camp is a place of adventure and trying new things.  At camp you’ll meet new lifelong friends, learn positive values, experience personal growth and enjoy great adventures. The Big Elk Creek YMCA Camp encourages new interests and helps to foster discovery of inner strength.  At Camp we hope to teach self-confidence, respect for nature, to become more comfortable outside, to build character, and provide opportunities to learn leadership skills.

We organize children and teens into age-specific cabin groups, where they meet new friends and enjoy enriching and fun activities as a unified group.

Nights up at camp features activities such as games, campfires, and the opportunity to sleep outside under the stars with your cabin group.

Big Elk Creek offers several camps to accommodate all campers’ age levels and interests.  In addition to our regular weeks of camp, we offer a Mini Camp for those first time campers and a Leadership Camp.
